Cyber Aspect is offering website design awards to the web design community. We have a panel of judges who have agreed to use our unique measurement tools in assessing just who should win and who shouldn't. The judges' verdicts will be final and no amount of arguing or bribing will shake them ... for personal reasons these judges do not wish to be named ... we think they fear the repercussions.
We're not trying to emulate the Webbys or other Website award sites ... we're just trying to reward the hard work that goes into web design. For that reason, entry is free and it will remain free. We will, however, be offering award certificates for winners to purchase ... imagine winning an award for one of your client's websites and being able to present them with a certificate for their trophy wall! And, by purchasing one for yourself you reap the rewards everytime someone enters your office and sees what you have won.
Websites will be judged according to the following criteria:
- Visual Appeal
- Fit or the Purpose
- Easy to Navigate
- Content
- Validation
- Overall Impression
Visual Appeal – Does the website look good, does it draw one in and does it stand out from the crowd.
Fit or the Purpose – Is the Website fit for it’s purpose… for example if it is an ecommerce store does it do this correctly, if it initiates contact does it do this sufficiently well.
Easy to Navigate – Is the Website easy to get around or is it hard to find the information you want.
Content – Is the content new, vibrant and suitable or is it old and stale.
Validation – We all hear a lot about validation, well we put it to the test, we will see if your Website validates.
Overall Impression – What do we think about the website as a whole.
