A while ago I reviewed PTViewer Scripter from the Easypano people and I've had the good fortune to take a closer look at their latest offering for the 3d virtual tour market, Tourweaver. Tourweaver is definitely PTViewer Scripter's big brother being feature laden and extremely slick. But I think the best feature for me was the number of "Skins" that were included as templates with the software. The image below is just one the many included skins and there are more skins available for purchase at the Easypano website, or, of course, you can design your own.
Those of you who are in the business of creating virtual tours for your clients should perhaps consider taking a look at this latest offering from Easypano. Personally, I found the Tourweaver interface intuitive and easy to use and was able to create a small virtual tour in just a few minutes.
I think the crux of the software though rests in the many differences in features between PTViewer Scripter and Tourweaver. Lets take a look at what Tourweaver has to offer.
Tourweaver features:
| . | Link spherical panoramas, cylindrical panoramas and still images together to build a web based virtual tour (PTVS allowed the linking of only spherical panoramas); |
| . | Customize viewer skin and scenes (PTVS did not have this feature); |
| . | Add hotspots to link panoramas, still images, audio or another virtual tour; |
| . | Set tour path to control the timing and virtual tour walkthrough (PTVS did not have this feature); |
| . | Multiple navigation options, include hot spots, interactive map, combo box, list box, thumbnails, text, image; |
| . | API scripting for advanced users (PTVS did not have this feature); |
| . | A virtual tour can be directly uploaded to the indicated FTP server (PTVS did not have this feature); |
In a nutshell Tourweaver will enable to you to link all types of panoramic and still shots together, whilst also allowing linking of other virtual tours. All this bound up in a neat little package with a customisable skin. What more could you ask for?
I've been quite enthusiastic about Easypano software since I first reviewed Panoweaver and PTViewer Scripter and I remain enthusiastic on my introduction to Tourweaver. This software makes a nice change from those offerings from the big software companies. If you're in the market for some Virtual Tour software, take Tourweaver for a spin, in my opinion, you won't be disappointed.
